While Amazon Net 30 account will allow you to delay invoice payment, but they won’t report any purchases to any business credit bureau unless you upgrade to as Small/Medium Amazon Business account with Net 45 invoicing.

Should you be able to get approved for the AMEX Amazon business card you also get Net 45 terms that be doubled to Net 90 when combined a with an Amazon Business Prime account.

Amazon Business Prime

Through their Pay by Invoice service, small business owners can receive an Amazon credit line with net 30 payment terms and regular D&B reporting.  These terms can be extended to 45 or 60 days with upgrades to your Business Prime membership. Amazon business account purchases also are interest-free, but they must be paid in full before the end of your billing cycle.

The Amazon Business Duo and Essential plans grant 30-day invoicing for online purchases, and you can access detailed digital invoices linked to purchase orders. To enhance payment terms to 45 days, you select the Small Business Prime or Medium Business Prime plans, priced at $499 and $1,299 respectively.

For a 60-day billing cycle, the exclusive choice is the Amazon Enterprise plan, with an annual cost of $10,099. Based on the annual spending, businesses with expenditures exceeding $100,000 are assigned a dedicated account management team. Approval for the Duo or Essential plans typically requires 5-8 tier 1 tradelines. The Small or Medium plans generally require a two-year credit history, but existing Amazon Business account holders might experience expedited approval. Enterprise-level net 60 billing is only geared towards large corporations who make substantial Amazon purchases.

Retail Stores

Whether you’re doing home renovations or general handyman work, you find most of what you need at Lowes or Home Depot, while HD Supply is an affiliate of the former. While it only offers Net 30 terms, the Sam’s Club Business MasterCard can get you 5% back in Sam’s Cash for gasoline purchases, and 3% on restaurants.

The Sam’s Business MasterCard acts as a retail store card for Sam’s Club purchases and as a general business credit card where MasterCard is accepted. A Sam’s Club Membership is required to apply with notable benefits including earning up to 5% back in Sam’s Bucks for in-store and gas station purchases outside of Sam’s Club. Dining and takeout rewards are at 3%, while all other purchases yield 1% back.

Obtaining approval can often require a personal credit score of 700 or higher, which would normally categorize it as a Tier 3 vendor. However, in-store criteria can vary, and applicants can potentially get approved with just an EIN or a score of 650. Application requirements include your business type, name, address, and date of formation. Employee counts and monthly expenditures are also required along with personal information for billing representatives and an option for them to offer a personal guarantee.

Purchase interest rates for the Sam’s Business credit card range from 15.65% to 23.65% APR, while payment terms are set at Net 20, with a 20-day grace period. Owners of the Sam’s Plus membership can issue up to 16 employee cards for their business account.

Purchases on the Sam’s Club Business MasterCard are routinely reported to three major credit bureaus: Transunion, Equifax, and Experian. Even though they do not directly report to Dun & Bradstreet, your Transunion data is relayed to D&B for inclusion in PAYDEX analysis.

Home Depot

Renowned for its extensive range of home and business renovation products, Home Depot offers everything from power tools and construction materials to gardening supplies. In collaboration with Citibank, there are two Home Depot business credit cards to choose from.

The Home Depot Commercial Account operates as a net 30 charge card that requires invoices to be paid in full once due. The Home Depot Commercial Revolving Account allows Pro Xtra members to settle their balance in full or make minimum payments while incurring interest with rates starting from 17.99% APR.

Both Home Depot business credit cards offer no annual fees and interest-free payment periods of up to 60 days. Other cardholder perks include an extended return policy of up to one full year and fuel rewards of $0.10 per gallon at select Shell gas stations for every $100 spent in-store.  Additionally, Home Depot issues Buyer ID Cards paired with customizable spending limits, easy purchase tracking, and itemized billing statements for all authorized users.   A personal guarantee might be required for businesses younger than two years and those with less than ten employees. Home Depot will also report your purchase history to three major business credit agencies (Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, and Equifax).

An IT-dedicated, revolving line of credit provides access to credit available to Dell Business Credit Account Holders. Exclusive offers are available along with low monthly payments on purchases. Currently, they are offering no interest if paid in full within 90 days on all new Desktops or Laptops of $699 or more, as well as one Dell monitor of $199+. The same payment terms also apply to their PowerEdge Servers,  PowerVault Storage, and Dell Networking packages. Taxes, shipping, and other charges are extra. Dell Business Credit is offered to business customers by WebBank, which determines qualifications for and terms of credit. Depending on creditworthiness, Credit Lines are available up to $50,000 with a maximum interest rate of 29.49%. Late payment fees range from $15-$39 and a return payment fee is $29.

The Total Minimum Payment Due is the greater of either $20 or 3% of the New Balance shown on the statement rounded up to the next dollar, plus all past due amounts. Accrued Finance Charges will be billed from the transaction posting date, if the purchase balance is not paid in full within 90 days.

To complete their online application you’ll need to have your Tax ID, DBA name, and your business type available.  After choosing your equipment, select Dell Business Credit as a payment method during checkout. How to Apply

Generally, you’ll find application qualifications for the top tier 2 vendors to require a minimum of 5-8 tradelines and that you have at least 90 days of business credit history.

Unlike the easy approval vendors in Tier 2, the annual fees found in Tier 2 generally mean the cards have rewards points attached to them. If you can’t meet the 5-8 tradeline requirement and keep getting denied, try to open supplier credit with lower requirement vendors like Summa Office Supplies, Quill, Uline, or Grainger.

Active Tradelines

Now that you’ve already established a decent tradeline history with positive monthly reporting, you’ll want to mostly apply for vendor accounts you plan on actively using. This will help increase your trade limits with the vendors you deal with most, which in turn is needed to obtain Tier 3 fleet cards and reward credit cards with high limits.

The approval requirements here are no longer basic, so you’ll want to make sure you’re you’ve ticked off most of the boxes before applying. In Tier 2, you should also target vendors that report to specific credit bureaus so that you’re getting positive reporting across the board.
